Editorial by Paul Bowyer
Welcome to the eighteenth edition of VuBridge Expert Kit. In this issue we focus on the idea of deception or foolin’ the enemy. There are many ways of doing this, from subtle false-carding as declarer to outrageous swindles, designed to paint an entirely fictitious picture of your hand to the opponents. Here, in these twelve deals, we give you a glimpse into the dark minds of the most devious experts. Some of these plays are simple but subtle, some are very clever indeed. Work your way through them and ask yourself how you might have defended against such shenanigans. Would you have got it right?
The third series in this issue is, as ever, all about counting the hand. These eight deals, written by the talented youngster Ben Norton, focus on different forms of counting. Sometimes you have to count points, sometimes hand patterns. Many of these deals are either Find the Lady hands or variations on that theme. With this set of deals there is no opposition bidding to help you; the auction is brutally swift.
There are some intriguing deals this month. Strap yourselves in and enjoy the ride!

Deception Play - Part II:
This series of six deals is all about deductions in the bidding to locate missing cards.
Some of these deductions are fairly elementary, some are more subtle. Are you Sherlock Holmes or Dr Watson?
