Those of us who've left a cell phone outside in Winter have discovered the phone goes on the fritz. Fortunately it's usually only temporary and they recover once warmed. This got us thinking. In our on-going mission to improve not only bridge knowledge, but bigger questions, we did some research. Phones are designed to operate at their best between 32-95F. That means Minnesota might as well forget outside calls until May. Most phones will operate a little until -10F.
BUT!! Those of us who still have outdated flip phones, take note! Our phones have worked in temperatures down to -314F. Those of you who laugh at our flip phones will be begging to use them when we get to Mars. Just don't use up all our minutes phoning home.
And now, let's phone home for some answers about Stayman.
