For this first quiz of the first edition of VuBridge Slams, we’ll have a look at Roman Key Card Blackwood (RKCB).

When you have found a fit, 4NT asks for the number of keycards.
There are five keycards: The four Aces and the King of trumps.

These are the responses to 4NT:
5♣ – 3 or 0
5♦ – 4 or 1
5♥ – 2 without the Queen of trumps
5♠ – 2 with the Queen of trumps

How could he have enough points for his opening bid with only one? He needs to have four and you have no more losers.

Therefore, you can bid the grand slam.

No matter if opponents have two Aces, Ace-King of trumps or an Ace and the King of trumps, with only three keycards out of five you need to stop at the five-level.
