"The Rest of the Story" by Marti Ronemus

Do you remember Paul Harvey on the radio, when he would tell "The Rest of the Story?" Yes, that shows our age, but it was good, wasn't it? Anyway, on to bridge.

When you open 1-of-any-suit, it takes you two bids to tell "The Rest of the Story" and fully describe your shape and point count. We're going to work on that today. Remember that our goal is to LIMIT our hand with as close to an EXACT point count as possible. Ready?

With a minimum opener, we'd just bid 2♦. But my friends, you cannot bid the same thing with 17 pts that you'd bid with 12 pts. Got that?
