This news from "The Journal of Temperature": A one-hour bath in 104 degree water burns the same number of calories, lowers blood sugar and has the same anti-inflammatory effect as a one-half hour fast walk! The evidence comes from Loughborough University in England. True, the study was done on only 14 people, but that's good enough for me!!
So take off those sneakers (and everything else), grab your reading device and hop in that tub. Let's get to work while we use up those calories.
We open a minor. The question often is, "Should I rebid my minor to tell Pard I really HAVE a minor, or should I bid something else?" Because of the scoring in bridge, we want to be in game (if the points are there) in either a major or No-trump. If we don't have a major fit, we look for protection in other suits. We have five examples here of hands where we open a minor and need to decide what to do after Pard's Heart response. Let's make some sense of this while we soak away the pounds.
