We've all seen those oddball animal friendships on the internet, right? The lion that lies down with the lamb? The fawn and the bear? Well, I've got a dandy human one for us today.
When Albert Einstein came to America in 1931, who did he want to meet more than anyone else? Charlie Chaplin! Turns out Albert was a serious movie buff and Charlie was his favorite. Lunch for the pair was arranged at Universal Studios, and they became firm friends, staying at each other's houses, and palling around together. Talk about an odd couple. But were they really? Each was brilliant, curious and mischievous, with a deep understanding and appreciation for the other's brilliance.
Sort of like us with our Pards, right? We appreciate and treasure them, and tell them so every hand.
